SAL - Joyeux Noël

Egyre több blogon látom a karácsonyra való készülődés első jeleit. Én is szeretek időben elkezdeni készülni, kigondolni, kinek mit szeretnék készíteni, ajándékozni.

I have already seen the first signs of Christmas preparations on several blogs. I am like that, too, I like to start thinking about the presents much before Christmas. I only feel all right if I have everything in the back of the wardrobe, waiting to be packed well before the holidays :)

This year I have already started stitching for Christmas, but most of the things are going to be presents so I cannot show them yet. This piece, however, is going to be for us. This is the first half of the first part of the SAL: Joyeux Noël. I haven't decided yet to frame it or to finish it as a banner. What do you think?

And how about you? Have you started preparing presents and/or ornaments for the holidays, or you prefer to leave things for the last moments?

Kicsi ház a nagy erdőben - Little house in the big woods

Olyan jó volt hímezni ezt a képet, hogy szinte sajnáltam, amikor elkeszült :) Erről a kis erdei házikóról nekem Laura Ingalls Wilder Kicsi ház a nagy erdőben című könyve jutott eszembe, amit sokszor elolvastam gyerekkoromban. Ismeritek ezt a könyvet? Nagyon kedves kis olvasmány, csak ajánlani tudom.

I enjoyed stitching this picture so much! It reminds me to a book that I read many times when I was a child: Little house in the big woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Do you know it? Very kind little book, I can only recommend it.

Here is my next Prairie Schooler finish, this time a bunch of flowers. I like flowers very much, especially these everlasting types :) This picture was in my WIP pile for a long time, I thought I would never be able to get the threads for it. One shop closed for August, the other did not have these colors, finally I bought them in a third one. But now it is ready and only needs to be framed.
